Erlend Fagerli from Norway has become the first freestyler to win 3 major titles in the same calendar year.
His success has been anticipated by many who have seen the 19-year-old grow rapidly as a strong all-round freestyler over the previous 5 years since competing in his first International competition (SuperBall) in 2012.
During 2016, Erlend took the titles of Norwegian Champion, European Champion and the World Open SuperBall Champion putting him firmly at the top of the world rankings. He also took second place in the Freestyle Football World Tour in Calgary putting himself in a strong position to take still one more possible title in 2016 at the World Tour finale in Melbourne on December 3rd.
The European Championships took place on November 18-19 2016 in GAME, Copenhagen, which is an iconic street football destination in the capital of Denmark. It was supported by Wonderful Copenhagen, the promotional arm of the City of Copenhagen.
